Subject: outstanding set, outstanding sound.
From start to finish this show is one of the best I've ever heard. Not just from SCI, but from anyone. They were absolutely on fire that night and this recording, which sounds more like a matrix than a dsbd, absolutely does it justice. I suggest paying special attention to the beginning of the second set which starts with a sublime Lonesome Fiddle Blues featuring some smooth-as-silk reggae and a cool Bob Marley tease, and continues with the gems Turn This Around, Rhythm of Road and the super . . . umm Latin . . . Latinissmo.

The jam at the end of Turn This Around features a perfectly placed "On Broadway" improv/tease followed with skin-tingling smooth piano. These four songs do an amazing job of demonstrating the immense talent of this band which spans bluegrass, jazz, funk, rock and even reggae. I could go on about every song played that night. Simply amazing.

This show just reaffirms why SCI has quickly become by favorite band.

Subject: SCI at its best
Now that it appears that SCI's days appear to be numbered, I think I can safely say that 2001 was one of the band's best years, and in particular the Winter Carnival Tour. This show should be the first one you listen to from that tour (also check out 3/9/01 and 3/17/01).
Thanks SCI for all the years and thanks Archive.org for allowing us to relive 'em all.

Subject: great
All around great show. The 1st set is sickness and I can never get enough of the jam out of Wake Up.

Subject: Amazing Show and Recording
This show is SCI at their best. Musicianship is 100% for every member of the group. Well crafted, beautiful solos and jams throughout. Set list is great. Recording and sound quality is excellent. Don't pass this one up. I wish I could find more live SCI recordings of this caliber.

Wow, I'm not even done listening to this show and I'm already blown away! The instrumentation is beautiful and the sound quality is great. And take a look at that setlist! I'm a huge Deadhead (I've got over 100 shows) and I'm fairly new to SCI. I've only gotten into them in the past 6 months or so (boy have I been missing out) and downloaded about 10 or 12 shows and I can say that this is my favorite show thus far. Kyle really stands out here. If you have any doubts about downloading this show, sample Little Hands and you'll see why I'm raving.

... to think I used to buy my Incidents, thinking I would get the best quality that way...

The recording highlights the band in the full spectrum of emotion of which they are capable, with the highest possible mix and recording quality.

Don't miss it.
